Nature reserves in the Auckland city are a taonga for the people. They are a source of great wellbeing for the people who walk their paths, and an oasis for birds and plant life.
Walking the trails of bush reserves like St. John's bush, Kepa bush, Dingle Dell..., I feel like I have left the city and walk in the deep forest. It is not every day that one can get out to our regional parks or the great national parks. Many of us spend much of our time indoors, and a walk in the fresh air, autumn leaves under our feet gives us great peace.
